Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many grants will the Eagles Social Justice Fund distribute in a given year? For how much should I apply?

A: Grants typically do not exceed $50,000. The number of grants will be determined by the amount of money in the fund. Nonprofits should request funding based on the amount they need for the project they are proposing or asking the Fund to support.
Q: What criteria do you use to select grant recipients?

A: We take many elements into consideration, including how well the application aligns with Eagles Social Justice issue areas, the scope of the project being supported, and the programs, organizations and issues that our players have prioritized to support.
Q: Do you make general operating grants or are grants restricted to the project described in the application? Do you fund staff salaries?

A: Although we do request specific project information in the application, unless otherwise specified in the grant letter, most grants are unrestricted. We do not, however, typically fund staff salaries.
Q: Are there any eligibility requirements?

A: To be eligible for consideration, organizations must, at a minimum:
  • Be classified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a qualifying fiscal sponsor
  • Have at least 1 full-time employee
  • Be located in and provide services to the Eagles market (the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware tri-state area)
  • Have and enforce a nondiscrimination policy that applies to employees, volunteers and recipients of services.
